2008 is definitely going to be a big year in the music industry for DJ / Producer / Multi-Instrumentalist Robert Strauss. Thirty-two year old, Canadian born âMr. Feelingsâ began playing keyboards, drums and guitar as a child, eventually settling into various band outfits through teen years. In rare, yet suitably apt fashion, moments from accountancy career oblivion, Robert then a lead a singer / songwriter, was snapped up for a major recording contract by Warner Brothers. 

Fast forward years 18 through 24, as teen-angst disillusionment set to fade and a move to Toronto became eminent, a wider musical periphery and awaitâFar and away from small town origins, enter in a booming metropolitan lifestyle, Robert's career once again unfolds taking form of self appointed pro-record and mix engineer.

New forms of Electronic and Black music along with seminal eye opening club experiences, in turn would manifest into the critically acclaimed Quasars and Phasars album, released worldwide in 2005 on Freerange Records.

A self-confessed 'for the love' kind of music producer, "Mr. Feelings" presents Chapter Two of Strauss' Opusâ

An intense, timeless body of work inspired by the soulful and heady,  dance fuelled days of prototype disco, off kilter boogie and 80’s synth bass. Mr. Feelings is ‘Quincy & Rod Temperton’ Stylized circa – 1982-3082. ‘Strauss’s appreciation of modern innovators combined with his foundation of contemporary arrangement & composition, became the DNA; for Strauss’ rare niche of creative lifeblood.

Robert has never been one to follow the pack, nor is he afraid to challenge his listener. Strauss has proven in just a short number of years running among the circle of top end DJ/ Pruducer s globally, that he is confidently so - here to stay.

Support from the industry is deep and wide. Jazzanova, Prins Thomas, Joey Negro, Ashley Beadle, Spiritual South, Yam Who? and Alton Miller, Osunlade, DJ Spinna, Henrik Schwarz, Jimpster, Slum Village to name but a few who lend weight to this thesis.

Scheduled for release â"Mr. Feelings", Strauss' latest major work to date will be dropping in Oct. 1st. 2007 with the Remix contest and EP's soon to follow.
